AMY ELIAS
President
Amy Elias has more than 20 years experience as a marketing and public relations professional, working on behalf of companies, corporations, agencies, foundations, individuals and organizations. As President of Profiles, Inc. Amy is responsible for crafting and implementing comprehensive marketing and communications programs for clients such as the Baltimore School for the Arts,, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, University of Baltimore, Enterprise Homes, St. Agnes HealthCare, and The Y of Central Maryland. Beyond strong promotional campaigns, Amy's work on behalf of Profiles' clients has earned national, regional and local Addy and PRSA awards.
On behalf of the firm’s clients, Amy has secured positive news and feature stories in such national publications as The New York Times and USA Today and in local/regional media outlets including The Washington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Baltimore Sun, The Baltimore and Washington Business Journals, ESPN Radio, all of the network television programs and the primary radio and cable television programs.
Most recently, Profiles’ strategic work for the University of Baltimore led to the adaptation of a university-wide branding campaign, Knowledge That Works. The firm was subsequently selected as agency-of-record for the University’s overall marketing and public relations programs that includes creative development and production of television spots, webvideos, website and outdoor advertising, special events and media relations.
Profiles has also had significant success in generating publicity around special events and opening. By example, the firm’s recent campaign for the opening of Ray Lewis’ Full Moon Bar-B-Que resulted in nearly $1 million of non-paid publicity and attracted more than 1,000 customers to the restaurant on its opening day. Profiles also worked on behalf of Tour de Clay to publicize an unprecedented six-week ceramic arts exhibition throughout the Greater Baltimore region featuring the works of 868 local, national and worldwide artists. For Tour de Clay, Profiles secured nearly $500,000 of multi-media news and feature coverage in national media outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer, CNN, and WNPR and in local and regional media outlets including The Baltimore Sun, The Annapolis Capital, The Frederick News Post with multiple stories on radio and television stations.
A native of Baltimore, Amy graduated from Emory University. In past years, Amy has served as co-chairman of annual fund raising events for Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Festival of Trees (2001, 2002), Maryland Art Place (1999), Center Stage (1996), Baltimore School For The Arts (1991, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996), Songs For Life (1995), The House of Ruth (1990-1994), The Baltimore Zoo (1994), and The Chimes (1993).
